Tropical Storm Danny has made landfall in South Carolina as a 40 mph tropical storm.

Danny's center moved ashore just before 8 p.m. EDT Monday on Pritchards Island, South Carolina, north of Hilton Head, according to the National Hurricane Center.

This was just over four hours after becoming the fourth named storm of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, which quickly followed its designation as Tropical Depression Four late Monday morning.
