Rare East Atlantic June Tropical Depression Or Storm Likely Due To Record Warm Water

We're watching two areas for development between Africa and the Lesser Antilles. One will likely become become a tropical depression or storm. This would be very unusual for June, as most June storms develop in the Gulf of Mexico or off the East Coast. It's not yet clear if this system will eventually impact the Lesser Antilles later this week. Another tropical wave to the east of this disturbance is also being watched.
