At least four people died from the effects of Winter Storm Bruce, which pushed from the Plains into the Midwest and eventually New England.
Two victims were in Michigan and Maine, and both died in fatal crashes on roads made dangerous by the winter storm. In north-central Kansas, authorities found the body of a woman who went missing in the snowstorm Sunday morning.
Tanya Eshbaugh, 37, called her workplace Sunday morning to say she was unable to safely travel through the storm and was turning around to go home. Authorities checkedEshbaugh's Cawker City, Kansas, apartment Monday morning, but there was no sign of her.
Eshbaugh's body was found Tuesday in a field about three miles from her car, police confirmed. The fourth death was confirmed in Nebraska.

Nearly 3,000 flights were canceled during twoof the busiest travel days of the year, leaving thousands stranded.
The storm pushed into New England early Tuesday, closing schools and businesses and bringing wet heavy snow that downed some trees and power lines. More than in New England were without power Wednesday afternoon, according to PowerOutage.us.
Here's a state-by-state breakdown of Winter Storm Bruce's impacts.
State police said 28-year-old Seth Gordon of Farmington was killed near Liberty, Maine, in a crash that occurred around 9:30 a.m. local time Tuesday morning. The crash involvedtwo trucks, a pickup truck and a box truck, police also said. Two others involved in the crash were severely injured, AP reports.
Officials have not yet determined the official cause of the crash, but conditions were slick at the time of the accident.
Illinois State Police said the snowy weather may have caused Mondayon a feeder ramp to the Kennedy Expressway, according to the Chicago Tribune. Five people, including a child, were taken to hospitals, but none of their injuries were considered life-threatening, authorities said.
Earlier in the day, were reported after drivers became stranded in their cars on Route 6 near Princeton due to high snowdrifts, according to the Illinois State Police.

The Ogle County Sheriff warned drivers Monday morning, and while IDOT crews were working to clear them, they had no time frame as to when road conditions were expected to improve.
As the snowstorm pushed east, it had an impact on travel in northern Indiana. As a result, dozens of schools were closed Monday in northwestern Indiana, including in South Bend.
Police said ice on a bridge contributed to an eight-vehicle pileup about 5 p.m. Monday in the town of Avon west of Indianapolis, while police in Hamilton County north of Indianapolis also responded to several ice-related accidents.
Dozens of schools in Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties canceled classes Monday because of the dangerous travel conditions. The snowstorm also left about 5,000 We Energies customers without power, mostly in Pleasant Prairie, but power was nearly totally restored by late Monday afternoon.
A48-year-old woman was killed when she lost control of her car on M-66 made slick by ice Monday morning in Ionia County, Michigan State Police announced. The driver's car slid sideways into the path of a pickup truck. No one else was injured in the crash.
Dozens of crashes were reported in the Lansing area Monday morning as Bruce coated roads with snow and ice. The Ionia County Sheriff called the roads "treacherous" in a statement, encouraging drivers to stay off them unless travel was essential.
Schools in the Flint area were closed Monday with poor road conditions.

The KansasDepartment of Transportation issued a blunt warning on social media early Sunday: "Do not try to travel west – if you are in NE Kansas and trying to go west, STOP NOW."
Over 200 miles of Interstate 70, fromTopeka to the Colorado border, were shut down for most of the day Sunday, reopening around 9 p.m. Sunday night.
A multiple car accident shut down , the National Weather Service reported. Several other highways east of Dodge City were also closed.
Many school districts in Kansas canceled Monday classes. The University of Kansas canceled classes at the campus in Lawrence and the Edwards Campus in Overland Park because traveling was so difficult on Sunday.
Officials said the body of78-year-old LeRoy Holthus was found Monday after he went missing during the blizzard in the town of Tecumseh. His unoccupied pickup truck was found Sunday by a neighbor, and his body was located about 150 yards away the next day after authorities were able to clear snow drifts and continue their search.
Nearly every roadway inNebraska, southwest Iowa, and northwest Missouri was either partially covered or fully News Channel Nebraska reported Sunday. Even Monday, crews from the Nebraska Transportation Department reported that several highways were still closed due to snow and ice in the southern part of the state.

KLKN-TV in Lincolnreported that from reaching stranded motorists in Saline and Jefferson counties.
The Nebraska State Patrol closed westbound I-80 for several hours Sunday morning between Lincoln and Omaha because of crashes, which included semitrailer trucks jackknifed across the highway. At least one person was injured.
Snow emergencies were declared in , KWBE reported,including Fairbury, Beatrice, Nebraska City.
On Saturday, the Colorado Highway Patrol said a 20-vehicle pileup, including a jackknifed semitrailer, closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Frisco for several hours Saturday. Minor injuries were reported.
About 15 vehicles spun out about 6 miles east of Silverthorne, which caused the eastbound lanes of I-70 to be temporarily closed there. Eastbound lanes near Vail Pass also were closed because of hazardous road conditions. Emergency shelters were opened for stranded drivers.
