Looking to escape the cold this winter?

, the travel planning and booking site, announced its 2017 Winter Vacation Value Report for U.S. travelers planning to book winter trips with a list of the top 10 spots for winter escapes.

The top 10 domestic and international destinations are based on TripAdvisor search data and ranked according to the least expensive average weekly cost from January 1 – March 31, 2017, factoring one-week expenses for hotels, airfare, meals and attractions. According to a recent TripAdvisor survey, 60 percent of U.S. respondents are currently planning a winter leisure trip.

"Americans thinking past the holidays and booking their winter vacations may want to consider traveling soon after the New Year, when some of the best rates are available," said Brooke Ferencsik, senior director of communications for TripAdvisor. "Based on TripAdvisor booking data, those that visit these hotspots during mid-late January can save an average of 16 percent compared to February or March."
