October. A chill creeps into the air as the days edge closer to winter. The leaves complete the change from green to red to brown. Children - and more than a few adults - gear up for Halloween. And for those given to seeking out frights this season, perhaps a stop at a haunted house like is in order.
The collection above features the terrified - and hilarious - reactions of tourists during a 15-minute, pitch-black tour through the attraction.
Located in Niagara Falls, Canada, the haunted house has a hidden camera that captures petrified reactions at a particular moment during the attraction. From teenagers to soccer moms, no two people seem to react the exact same way.
“We're not a typical haunt with actors, animatronics, and props,” Vee Popat, the Fear Factory's director of sales and marketing, said in an interview with Weather.com. “There is no blood, no gore. We are more of a mental and emotional experience than a visual one. It's a different experience for everyone as our speciality is to prey on individual fears and phobias.”

According to the Fear Factory’s , the original attraction opened in the late 1970s and was located in Maple Leaf Village area of Niagara Falls. It was moved in 1994 to the current location… the former home of the Cataract Coffin Factory.
“It's pitch black inside, you can't see your hand in front of your face.” Popat explains. “You follow a trail of red lights to navigate your way out - if you're lucky enough to survive. We change things up inside several times throughout the year to keep things fresh and exciting for our repeat visitors.”
But what exactly is scaring people at this haunted house that warrants such a petrified (and hilarious) reaction?
“The photos you see are taken with two still cameras in two separate locations,” Popat said. “People think that the photos are all from the same area and the same 'scare'. We're a 10 to 15 minute walk through with many different 'scares', effects, and also a bunch of unexplained happenings inside the factory.”
The only way to find out is to check it out for yourself.
