New Snowmaker Taking Aim at the West, Plains, Midwest and Northeast Into Next Week

The storm track has shifted into the West due to a pattern change.Snow will not only coat the mountains in the West, but also valley locations.This new storm will then bring snow and wind to the Plains and Midwest starting this weekend.Snow, sleet or freezing rain may also be a nuisance in parts of the Northeast early next week.

The next storm system will give a needed boost to the West's paltry snowpack, then take aim atthe Plains and Midwest withsnow and wind this weekendbefore bringing a glancing shot of snow and ice to parts of the Northeast early next week.

This system has been named Winter Storm Jaxon, for the latest information.
