The terrorist group ISIS and climate change areseen by people around the world as the biggest threats to national security, a new Pew Research Center survey says.
The andasked respondents about eight possible threats. Globally, 62 percent of respondents listed ISIS as the No. 1threat. It was also the No. 1 threat in 18 countries concentrated in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States.
Climate change wasseen as the biggest threat in 13 countries, mostly in Latin America and Africa. It is the second-ranked concern in many other countries polled.
Regionally, Latin America shows the greatest concern for climate change and it was listed at the top threat in seven of the eight countries surveyed.
As for a specific country, Spain had the highest respondents (89 percent) citing climate change as the biggest threat to their country's security.

In the United States, 74 percent cited ISIS as the top threat, followed by 71 percent who ticked cyber attacks from foreign countries as the leading threat to the nation. Climate change came in third with 56 percent, followed by Russia's power and influence at 47 percent.
The left-right divide is evident in the United Stateswhen it comes to climate change. Eighty-six percent of liberals in the U.S. said climate change is a major concern, while only 31 percent of conservatives cited climate change, according to the Pew poll.
