There won't be any post-Thanksgiving sales at North Kansas City's Metro North Mall this Black Friday. The mall, which opened its doors to shoppers in 1976, has been left to decline for decades and eventually abandoned in 2014.
Photographer , who has explored and photographed abandoned malls and other venues for his book, , recently visited the Missouri mall just weeks before it was demolished and captured eerie images of its shuttered shops, broken escalators, and crumbling ceilings.
