Backpacking is just one of those things: You love it or you hate it. There’s really no in between. You either hate the idea of lugging all of your (relevant) worldly possessions on your back in a 30L pack with more straps and strings than you can count, or you love the freedom that comes with being wholly location independent and the freedom of movement.
