Lead levels in kids’ blood increased just after Flint, Michigan, changed its water source in 2014 to save money, federal officials said in a new report released last week. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said children who drank Flint water had a 50 percent higher risk of dangerously elevated blood levels than before the switch.
